Sometimes time mocks at us.
Do we actually remember what happened then?
Or this is just something
we have been told about so many times?
Or maybe it has happened to someone else.
Or maybe we remember somebody else’s life experience.

Actually, it’s not time to be blamed.
Maybe some photo has triggered a stream of memories.
A message written in invisible ink or lemon juice.
And they come up in a certain time
at the moment you need them.
It is if you felt the fluttering of humming bird …
…and…
you start to remember.

It comes back to you and you are in a hurry to check it.
…Some items have remained just the same.
The house is still at its place.
The window…
What my Daddy was taken picture of
at when he had been a child is still there.
The picture of me is still there
no matter that 15 years have passed.
The crack in the stairs is a little bit bigger now.
The little door is now decorated by a web.
The stool is still at its place on the balcony.

(You keep turning round and round
as if you were looking for something familiar,
looking around and waiting to see it.)

…In fact, I was told that The Foal was yellow.
But I can’t remember it.
It might have been another one.
“Come out of the water right now, you’ll get sick” –
it is what I remember very well
and the only thing is that I’m not absolutely sure
that it belongs to the same moment.
What I’m not only sure about its
is that The Foal wasn’t mine at all
and the child I gave it back to uninflated, got furious.

One of the most comprehensible traits of memories
is that they come to seem pleasant
when one wants to share them.
If a man could flatter the people around himself
he should try to do it.
As if the memory can stay on as a little caterpillar
until something else gets into its place.

...
